The dinosaur of the month of july is... The pyroraptor

It was a carnivorous dinosaur species that lived about 70 million years ago. Their name means "Fire robber" because the only bones that were found were discovered thanks to a forest fire. They were members of the dromaeosauridae family, the family that includes the Velociraptor. The Pyroraptor and Velocirapter were very similar in terms of physical appearance, such as the presence of feathers.

The dinosaur of the month of June is... The giganotosaurus

This carnivorous dinosaur that lived in South America existed during the late Cretaceous. They were slightly bigger than the females of the T-Rex (Giganotosaurus=10 tons, T-Rex=9 tons) (The females T-Rex outweighted the T-Rex males) made him very popular quite fast. He was discovered by an amateur fossil hunter. They may have lived in groups, because they hunted sauropods about 5 times heavier than them. 

The dinosaur of the month of may is... the tyrannotitan

It was a dinosaur that measured 13 meters or more. They had about 60 teeth that they used to hunt their favorite prey, sauropods. only a few parts of this carcharodontosaur (the family of the Tyrannotitan) were found during the discovery in Argentina, by 4 farmers. They lived during the Cretaceous.

The dinosaur of the month of april IS... the apatosaurus

The Apatosaurus was an herbivorous sauropod that lived in the Cretaceous in what is now the United States. The skull of the Apatosaurus was mistakenly mounted on top of a Brachiosaurus body, creating the original Brontosaurus. The error was later discovered and for some time the Brontosaurus was not considered a separate species of dinosaur. Recently, the name was recently reinstated as some believe that there is sufficient evidence to distinguish the Brontosaurus from the Apatosaurus.

 

the dinosaur of the month of march is... the gigantoraptor

The Gigantoraptor was a very large dinosaur. It was discovered inthe region of Erlian in Mongolia (China), which  is why its full name is Gigantoraptor erlianensis. It was the largest of the raptors and might have weighed as much as 2 tons. It may have been as big as the Tyrannosaurus rex, though we do not know what it ate.  It is believed that it was an omnivore, but no one is quite sure. It lived during the Cretaceous.

The dinosaur of the month of february is... the parasaurolophus

The Parasaurolophus was an herbivorous dinosaur that lived in North America during the Cretaceous. It lived in herds and it had a long crest on the top of its head which it may have used to emit sounds. It had a large resonance chamber in its head which might have helped produce the sounds.

The dinosaur of the month of January is... the Albertosaurus

The Albertosaurus was a close cousin of the famous Tyrannosaurus Rex. Like his cousin, he was at the top of the food chain.  However, the Albertosaurus lived about 10 million years before the Tyrannosaurus. As the name suggests, Albertosaurus lived in Alberta, Canada during the Cretaceous.
